Invitation to Payment Application Best Practices (“PABP”) workshop, 08th April 2008


The purpose of this Workshop invitation is to encourage Payment Application Vendors to validate the conformance of their products to Visa’s Payment Application Best Practices (“PABP”). Visa is augmenting its efforts to advance compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (“PCI DSS”) by ensuring that payment applications used in the industry facilitate compliance. Visa is proactively encouraging all of its members, merchants and service providers to ensure that the payment applications they utilize are included on Visa’s list of validated payment applications available at

We would like to invite you to attend the Payment Application Best Practices Workshop on 8th April 2008 (Tue), at 9:30am – 12:00pm in WLB 702, 7/F, The Wing Lung Bank Building for Business Studies, Renfrew Road, Kowloon Tong , Kowloon (九龍塘 聯福道 永隆銀行商學大樓 7樓702室).

This workshop is held by VISA together with Hong Kong Retail Technology Industry Association and Hong Kong Wireless Technology Industry Association with the support of the Professional Information Security Association. It is target for the risk operational and IT senior executives in retail and payment application vendors. It will provide insight into the PCIDSS requirement, payment application best practices and some case study on AP other countries experience.
